A 30 year old widow told how her husband was killed and two of her daughters abducted by Boko Haram. She said that she and her four other children were able to escape, fleeing into the nearby woods, where they survived for three months until they were discovered by government soldiers, who transported them to an IDP camp. She reported that a guard agreed to provide food for them as long as the widow would have sex with him.
But its relevance reaches far beyond the agreed deadline of 2015. Mutual accountability will be critical when designing and implementing the post 2015 United Nations development agenda. And the task is daunting. Making optimal use of the available information and communication technologies can help us keep better track of what we know, what we have done, and where we have succeeded.Let me conclude by reiterating our sincere gratitude to the Governments of the Republic of Korea, Canada and Nigeria for their generous support.

The cast consists of five young girls, but the tale they’re telling is far beyond their years. Co artistic director Abigail Browde says it’s the life story of one woman. “It’s like a contemporary journey myth,” she says. Now, you could answer that by saying, perfectly reasonably, that it’s the tune that Elgar wrote to open the piece. The complication comes in him suggesting that the real theme of the Enigma Variations isn’t the melody that you can obviously hear; instead, it’s a familiar melody that can be played at the same time a quotation, if you like. And that, as Elgar wrote, is “so well known that it is extraordinary that no one has spotted it”, adding: “The Enigma I will not explain its ‘dark saying’ must be left unguessed.”.
The other thing is that women often dress modestly in Moroccan culture, and the Western tendency to want to run around in tank tops and short when it’s hot (it’s usually hot!) is outside their custom. While you can do it, I always like to err on the side of consideration of local tastes, even when it’s inconvenient. So airy, flowy things that don’t constrict but still cover the female form would be appropriate, as well as one piece bathing suits.
